Who remembers disposable cameras? I'm sure you all do because it wasn't really that long ago they were so common (that word is a clue and will revisit us soon-just like in that show LOST) and some people still use them now. My mother is one of them, digital cameras make her nervous. I don't know why. My sister and I have both bought her point and shoot digital cameras and they are both still in the box they came in-unused. Meanwhile, she has two huge drawers of undeveloped disposables that, as far as I'm concerned, should stay that way because there's probably a good portion of them that are of me as an angry teen with frizzy hair, baggy pants, and headphones on, sitting in the corner at some special occasion just wanting to go home.
The reason I asked if you remember them is because I couldn't really think of any other clever way to introduce this website I’m about to lay down! It's called Commoncam and it's a pretty awesome camera sharing idea. My friend Jon Stuyvesant sent me the link the other day and is one of the many lucky people taking part in the project. I wish I was too, so I'm going to send them an email and see if I can use my charm and bad grammar to get them to send me a camera. If that doesn't work, well I guess I'll just move on with my day. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get one, and also, look at the website. It's so nice and makes me smile.
